PoolTransit — Terms of Service
Effective date: on and from the date these Terms are first published · Provider: Prem S. Pal, an individual (sole operator), India.
By using PoolTransit you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What PoolTransit is (and isn't)
PoolTransit is an introduction service that helps verified employees of onboarded companies find each other to share a commute ride between fixed stops, and split the fare among themselves.
We only introduce commuters. We do not provide, operate, or arrange transport; we do not employ or dispatch drivers; and we do not process, hold, or transfer any payments. Any ride you take and any payment you make are directly between you, your co-riders, and the transport provider you choose.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and use a corporate email address of an onboarded company. You are responsible for keeping your login (one-time email code) secure.
3. Your responsibilities & acceptable use
- Provide accurate profile information.
- Treat co-riders with respect; meet at the agreed stop; be punctual.
- Do not harass, threaten, or endanger others, or use the service unlawfully.
- Do not misuse the platform (spam, scraping, interfering with the service).
We provide Block and Report tools; we may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or endanger others.
4. Rides, fares, and safety
- Matching is by exact stop pair; a match is only an introduction. Whether to travel together is your decision.
- Fare split is an informational calculation with a hand-off to your own UPI app. We do not verify, guarantee, or settle payments. "Marked paid" is a self-report by a participant, not a confirmation by us.
- You are responsible for your own safety. Meeting and travelling with other commuters is at your own discretion and risk.
5. No custody of funds
PoolTransit never collects, holds, or remits money and is not a payment system, payment aggregator, or transport aggregator.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prem S. Pal (the operator) is not liable for the conduct of any user or co-rider, for any ride, journey, payment, loss, injury, or dispute between users, or for indirect or consequential damages. [Before scaling, counsel should finalise the liability cap and carve-outs permitted under Indian law.]
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete my account). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
